Bowy Mirror S1

Availability: In stock (1)

A distorting mirror known in the 19th century as a ‘Rigolarium’. These mirrors hung in ‘The Palace of Laughter’, which was a source of entertainment at fairs and markets. Although they appeared to be normal mirrors at a distance, up close people were amused to see their reflections become thinner or fatter or deformed.
